When Northern Europe’s largest Aquarium, Den Blå Planet (The Blue Planet) opened its doors, it had ambitions of being both a captivating tourist attraction and also a centre to promote learning and understanding of marine life. So, in collaboration, we set about creating a brand that beautifully combines information and entertainment. The building itself is constructed in the shape of a vortex. There isn’t a single right angle or a straight wall in sight. This aquatic theme helped guide brand strategy, communication, digital concepts and visual identity that encourage discovery - an identity that’s every bit as intriguing and stunning as the ocean itself.
